The Editors' Desk
We are a small, independent editorial team who believe that the glyphosate debate deserves the patience of a long magazine feature rather than the heat of a comment thread.

Why we started
Glyphosate is discussed in two registers: the reassuring summary and the alarming headline. Each tends to leave out what the other says. We began this site to set the strongest version of each position side by side, with the evidence behind it, and to say plainly where uncertainty remains.
We are not affiliated with Bayer, Monsanto, any herbicide manufacturer, regulator, law firm or campaign group, and we accept no sponsorship or advertising from them.

How we weigh a claim
Primary sources first
We read IARC monographs, EFSA and ECHA opinions, EPA decisions and peer-reviewed papers directly, rather than relying on press releases from any side.
Both sides, strongest form
Every chapter presents the best case for and against before we offer a brief, cautious reading of where the balance currently lies.
Corrections in the open
When we get something wrong, we correct it and note the change. Tell us at [email protected].
What we are not
We are editors and writers, not toxicologists, physicians, agronomists or lawyers. Nothing here should be read as medical, legal or agronomic advice. If you are worried about exposure, talk to a doctor; if you are considering legal action, talk to a qualified lawyer; if you are changing a farm's weed programme, talk to a local agronomist.
